While I have loved photography my whole life, I first started my journey with the World Triathlon Corporation (also known for creating the Ironman races). I worked with the BEST sport photographers around the world——traveling with them to Hawaii, Florida & California. It was an amazing experience seeing the work they created and the intensity of the sport world. Buuuut, we left Military & SoCal life behind us, moved to Virginia (yah we have bounced around often), and started a family. It was then that I picked up my own camera and began capturing moments of our child. It was such a natural transition to begin creating these memories for other families.
Fast forward a few years (ok 6 to be exact)—- now in Jersey—-our son makes the travel baseball team! One evening I took a day off from the Mommy sidelines, and brought my big ol’ camera to capture these players in action! These boys and coaches gave me another glimpse of that sport photography I loved years ago and a new idea was created— blending both my love for kids and sport photography!
Truth is— there is always someone taking photos with their phones or cameras—- but I’m hoping to offer so much more with Sessions on the Field!
